Here at Miller Place PTA, we're all about teamwork!

Our goal is simple:   

We're here for our kids.  To help them have the best possible student experience.  To help them form memories & friendships that will last a lifetime.  To help them have those nostalgic moments akin to our own childhoods. 

And we believe that's a goal we can all get on board with!  

As an adult, life can be messy & complicated.  But childhood is a time of simplicity & innocence.  So let's join hands in celebrating our kids!

To do that, we need to bring parents, teachers, and the school community closer together.  By working together toward that goal, we're creating welcoming schools where every child can shine & succeed!

WHAT IS THE MILLER PLACE PTA?

We're a group of parents & teachers who aim to provide lasting memories for our kids and enrich our students' lives with fun & educational activities. 

The Pre-K to 5 PTA serves elementary-aged students at AMPS and Laddie, while the 6 to 12 PTSA serves middle & high school-aged students at NCR and MPHS.  

We're very excited for the premier year for the PTA, having just been formed for the 2024 - 2025 school year.  Thanks to awesome ideas from our membership, we have a great year of planned activities ahead.

HOW WILL THE PTA UTILIZE MONEY THAT's RAISED?

The PTA utilizes money that's raised in the following ways:

1. Subsidizing the cost of future activities to reduce the ticket price charged, enabling us to price our events as affordably as possible for our families

2. Outlaying costs to plan events & obtain merchandise for future sale

3. Covering operating costs of the PTA, such as maintaining our website etc that enable us to communicate with membership & function on a day-to-day basis

4. Providing specific items for needs of all our students & teachers in our schools, with prior approval by our general membership via vote

*the PTA is not permitted to provide lump-sum donations to our schools, and the PTA is not permitted to provide for specific students in a discriminatory / exclusionary manner*
